Beginning Sewing Part 4: Easy Lined Apron

This is the fourth class in our Beginning Sewing series and is a great introduction to sewing clothing. In this 4-hour class you will learn to understand the basics of reading and cutting out with a pattern and sew a lined apron with a contrast. You will learn tips on sewing curves, pressing, topstitching and more.
What You Need to Bring to Class:
- Heritage Quilt Barn's Basic Apron Pattern. This pattern includes 3 styles in 2 children’s sizes and 4 adult sizes.
- 7/8 yard cotton fabric for apron front
- 1 1/8 yards cotton fabric for contrast and apron back
- Optional: Two D-rings to make neck strap adjustable
- Optional: 1/8 yard fabric for trim or 1 1/4 yards ribbon or rickrack as desired.
- Thread to match(you may need 2 colors of thread if one thread color will not blend well with both the main and coordinate fabrics)
Important: Please purchase, prewash, dry and iron your fabric prior to the class. The yardage given is for an adult’s size medium. See the apron pattern for yardage for other sizes.
