Beginning Sewing Part 4: Apron

This is the fourth class in our Beginning Sewing series and is a great introduction to sewing clothing. In this 4-hour class you will learn to understand the basics of reading and cutting out with a pattern and sew an apron with an adjustable neck. You will learn tips on sewing curves, pressing, topstitching, hemming, facings, pockets and more.

What You Need to Bring to Class:

  • 1 yard cotton or cotton blend fabric (suitable fabrics are denim, canvas, ticking, duck cloth, toweling, linen and linen blends and similar weight materials. This apron is unlined, so a fabric that is sturdier than a basic quilting cotton is preferable.)
  • 6 1/4 yards 1" wide twill tape to match/coordinate with fabric
  • Thread(s) to match both the apron fabric and the twill tape?

Important: Please purchase, prewash, dry and iron your fabric prior to the class.?The yardage given is for an adult's size medium. See the apron pattern for yardage for other sizes.

Please call (254-829-7119) or come by our shop if you have any questions.
