Raggedy Blanket Class
In this 3-hour class you will learn how to construct a baby or lap-size blanket with fringed seams and edges. You will sandwich four blocks, machine quilt them, begin putting the blocks together and learn several tips on clipping. You will then finish your blanket at home.
What You Need to Bring to Class:
Important: whether you purchase a kit or yardage, you will need to pre-wash and dry all of your flannel before the class. You do not need to pre-wash the other fabrics.
- Raggedy Blanket Kit- We have a selection of baby and lap-size kits available for purchase at the Quilt Barn.
Note: If you would like to pick your own fabrics from yardage, please call the shop (254-829-7119) to arrange a time to come by at least 1 week before the class so we can help you choose your fabrics. If you are purchasing yardage instead of a kit, you will also need the Raggedy Blanket pattern.
- 1-2 colors of thread (to match back and to coordinate with front fabrics)
- Spring-action snips (optional but very helpful for clipping fringe)
